We try to be as unrestrictive as possible in letting members use this service to its full potential, but we must make some ground rules as the service is shared by other Branches and YM Sections. Members are permitted to freely upload the following file types into their assigned location:

Members wishing to upload scripts written in the php, perl or shell languages must be mindful that local.iee.org is a shared server and serious consideration must be made to
Please also submit your script to the local.iee.org IT Officer at the time of uploading so that a database of what scripts are on the server can be made (to avoid duplication, etc).
If any scripts are found to be a security risk to the server, excessively load the server or add modify or delete any file which is not owned by the scripts owning area then the script will be deleted or moved away to prevent its use and the owner contacted.
For this reason, all scripts must contain an owner name and contact Email address as a comment at the top of the script. This must be the Web Master responsible for its use.
Please remember that images are subject to the same copyright law as text. Ensure that if you upload an image to the server, you do not violate the copyright of that image (i.e. you have sought the owners permission to upload the file).
When a Web Master leaves his duties, Members Services must be informed with a request for a new password to be issued.
Areas must request a password change at least once a year. If no new password has been requested 14 months after the last password issue, Members Services will change the password and send the new password to all the Web Masters in that area.
Members using this service agree that any content uploaded is the sole responsibility of the individual who uploaded it. Any complaints received about content shall be reviewed and passed on directly to the area it relates to.
The IEE and the local.iee.org IT Officer reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time.
